A Walk in the Woods

There's nothing quite like a quiet walk in the woods, when my children are sleeping in the double jogger and I can be alone in my thoughts.

Top Ramen Chef

Joshua loves to help me cook and one of his favorite meals these days is Top Ramen with corn. After a cold day walking through the woods he eagerly made up his favorite grub.

"Happily Ever After" Daddy/Daughter Dance

Adam and Rachel attended the annual DuPont Daddy/Daughter Dance this past weekend. They went out for Chinese and then danced the night away with their friends at the decked out Chloe Clark Ballroom.

Josh's Kindermusic Fun

Josh is so excited every Friday morning for Kinder-music at The Ovation Academy! Sometimes he gets to take his bells, other times his rain stick or chimes. He learned all about the weather last semester and this semester focuses on city sounds. He loves to play instruments, sing, dance and do fun activities with all his friends. Pictured are his best friends, Brooke and Ellie, and his Kindermusic teacher Amy.

The Baby Taking Candy Fom....Levi

Levi is always playing with Rebekah, making her laugh and entertaining her. We captured the joy of this moment when she pried the lolipop free from his mouth and thought it was all hers.

Hunter Loves Soccer

Hunter loves soccer and plays every Saturday (usually from 7:30-10 am) with Mom or Dad at the local field in town. He has a great leftie shot and unlimited energy and speed. He is getting better every week playing with the big guys and gals from the neighborhood and ward.

There's Nothing Like Cuddling Up to a Good Book

Rachel is in the first grade and her reading has really taken off. Every night we read together from a chapter book of her choice. We just started Princess Academy this past week. Rachel also really enjoys reading books for her book club.

Rachel's Mother/Daughter Book Club

It was Rachel's turn to host the Mother/Daughter Book Club this month. She chose Judy Moody Declares Independence, a book about a girl who goes to Boston on a family trip and decides to do as the founding fathers did by declaring independence...however, she wanted it from her parent's rules and little brother. Through the course of the book there are fun tidbits of American history and the reader discovers that you can only gain freedom and independence by being responsible. At the book club, the girls completed a word search, answered questions about the book, had a little tea party with hot chocolate and cake, and finished out the evening coloring and cutting out their very own Bonjour Bunny.
